Adam
LaMontagne & Camille Fontanella (MA)
Adam and Camille have been Swing dancing together since they
met in 1998. By then, Camille had been dancing ballet and modern
for years, while Adam was busy learning how to shake his booty
in dance halls across the land. In Sacramento, CA, where they started
Swing dancing seriously, they participated in numerous Lindy Hop
performance groups. After moving to Western Massachusetts, Adam
and Camille began teaching, choreographing and performing with
their Lindy Hop performance group, Crazylegs.
When they're not on the dance floor, you can find Adam and Camille
organizing dances with their non-profit organization, the Lindy
League of Western Massachusetts, or you can find them in the (sometimes
virtual) aisles of music shops, scavenging for music that moves
them. Camille has been DJing throughout the region since 2003.

innovative and energetic
dancing. www.LindyLeague.org

first and foremost social dancers. With this in mind, their classes
focus
on solid lead/follow technique as the road to finding one's own
unique style. Their simple philosophy, based on momentum, connection,
and rhythm helps their students to learn more than a bunch of cool
moves. In their classes, Peter and Ramona share their love of Lindy
Hop with their students, helping them enjoy the dance on a deeper

Marc-André
Vachon & Tara Weinstein (RI)
Marc-Andre started Swing dancing in Montreal in 2003 and has
embraced the crazy attitude of Montréal Swing dancers ever
since. After rigorous study with many national instructors to hone
his
skills, M-A forgot everything he was taught and as a result has
developed a creative and highly energetic style all his own. He
has won many competitions up and down the east coast, taught several
workshops along the way, and in the process has become the inspiration
to many aspiring Lindy Hoppers across the country. Marc-André is
also a regular instructor at Providence Swings in Providence,
RI and part of the Swing dance team d'Shebam. When not dancing,
which is not often, Marc-André is working on his PhD in
experimental physics at Brown University. He also likes
to enjoy pints of Guinness with his friends and gazing at the stars. www.StepetteSwing.com
Tara was born in Montréal (yes, she is Canadian, although she
says neither "eh" nor "aboot"), grew up in
Toronto, and moved to Providence in 2000 (yes, she is American
too). Although she studied Ballet for years as a child, she stopped "officially" dancing
for quite a while until a friend of hers invited her to a Swing
dance benefit and she has been addicted ever since. Every Thursday
Tara can be found dancing at Providence Swings, which she
helps to run. She has been teaching there and in the New England
area for the past two years.

Bobby White & Kate Hedin (DC)
Bobby and Kate were born in the Southern dogwood groves
of suburban Georgia where they used to do nothing but rock on the
front porch drinking mint juleps and wearing linen suits. That's
why they began learning the classic Swing dances Lindy Hop and
Balboa. Choosing to capture their own styles from the inspiration
of the original jitterbugs, they have also managed to capture
many top placements in regional and national competitions, including
1st place at the European Balboa Championships (2007) and American
Lindy Hop Balboa Championships (2007). Recognized for their engaging
teaching skills, Kate instructs with a thorough, analytical musicality
and mechanics-based method, while Bobby prefers rubber-band analogies
and combat sound effects. They currently reside in the Baltimore/D.C.
area where they sit around on rocking chairs wondering why their
mint juleps taste like crab. www.BobbyKate.com
Ben
Yau & Sheri Kang (CA)
Since meeting in 1999, this cute and creative couple have taught
and
competed around the world, consistently placing at the top in
both national
and international competitions such as the American Lindy Hop
Championships,
the World Lindy Hop Championships, and the National
Jitterbug Championships.
Ben and Sheri have always enjoyed bringing to the floor their
unique brand
of energy and humor and their positive attitude to keep the dance
fun and
social. Known for their imaginative dancing and choreography,
including
their showcase winning Footloose routine from the
2005 National Jitterbug
Championships, Ben and Sheri take pleasure in keeping their
classes both
entertaining and educational. They're excited to return to Beantown for
their fourth year and are looking forward to seeing you
on the dance
floor! www.One2Swing.com
